CCSA Coach’s Agreement

I,____________________________________ am a coach in ____________________ (district) for a boys/girls U____ team. I agree to abide by the rules and guidelines for my age group and those set forth by CCSA.

I will display good sportsmanship towards every player, parent, coach, referee and CCSA representative.

I have been informed of the “Risk Management” program established for the protection of our children by OSYSA and CCSA. I will comply with the requirement and participate in the program.

I am aware that as a CCSA coach I am representative of the organization. CCSA expects proper behavior at all times throughout the soccer season on and off the field, before during and following games and practice.

I am aware of the Coaches’ Code of Conduct and that there are consequences to certain behaviors. Uncarded actions such as yelling at a referee or another coach or unsporting behavior etc. are also subject to disciplinary review by the Discipline committee. Disciplinary actions may include suspension for a game or two to a season. If I receive disciplinary action, I have access to due Process procedures as outlined in the coach’s handbook.

I understand it is my responsibility, as the coach, to inform the parents of the appropriate behavior on the sidelines, towards other teams, players and the referees. I will inform them of the “Code of Conduct” and that they are subject to CCSA discipline.

I understand coaching is a privilege and is for the benefit of the players. I may be removed from my coaching position if I do not uphold the CCSA mission and display such conduct of a CCSA Coach.
